The career mentor supports youth in:

  • Navigating community resources and supports
  • Goal-setting
  • Referrals to internal programs

The career mentor works one-on-one with people to navigate community resources and teach them life skills.

The goal of the career mentor is to help clients gain knowledge in resources that will help them achieve their goals.

Eligibility

  • Ages 15 to 30
  • Currently unemployed and looking to return to work
  • Having difficulties accessing community resources
  • Wanting to start your career and but are facing employment barriers
  • Needing help and don’t know where to start

Work experience

There is a possibility of entering into work experience through the career mentoring program. Participants who qualify will have an opportunity to put into practice what they are learning in training.

The work experience will take place in a variety of industries with the focus of skill development.
